They're papier maché and I fear that some of my close friends don't share my enthusiasm for them. Of course you should come this winter. The dobies will have a ball and we will too. Dan, the hammock hooks are original to the house, it's a Yucatan thing. It is great to lay in the hammock with a beer and the NFL :) I'm going to have to move the hammock to the other end of the room though now that we have chairs and a table. There are embedded rings for it all along the room and we have several of the original hooks as well. Steve, I'm now waiting for a bid from the same carpenter for a side credenza kind of thing on the terrace. I was impressed with the tables, even before the marble went on them the wood finish was beautiful. It never ends. Nancy, I agree that for me to want to live somewhere it has to have a welcoming, comfortable feel. Too formal or too sparse and I may love the look but I wouldn't want to live there. But the room is beautiful and looks comfortable. To me that is one of the most important things, that you should have multiple places to feel cozy and comfortable.
