Steve, my heart breaks for Prof Jiggs, I just read about his passing.

Billie, we will make a point of being over here unless we get it rented, even then we might be able to camp with some friends.

I like ‘mentaldental’ Rummy, good word.

We were talking yesterday about how we need to force you Brits to come over here and sit on the beach for a week.

I know what Paul means, Nancy, sometimes you long for cold refreshing water. Actually, our pool stays cooler and has that feel most of the time because it is deep into the limestone. There is nothing quite like a warm ocean though, luscious.

It’s true, it is wonderful here when it’s empty but I feel the pangs from my friends who depend on the tourists. Oddly, many of them are gone as well. It’s the time of year when the locals take vacations.

Sounds nice, although Paul keeps saying the water is too warm to get refreshed. Tomorrow we head to the beach anyway. I wish I had a place I felt comfortable letting the dogs off leash, they lived too long on ten acres so that they don’t understand that they can’t run as far as they want to.

LOL. I glanced at the weather thingie, it said 75 feels like 100, and thought NO Way! It can’t be only 75, then I noticed it was for Playa not Merida and we were 100 feels like 117. We had rain yesterday and it feels cooler today. Have fun at the beach, I miss you guys!

I so love the water around Cancun, playa del carmen…the whole area. I can just see the sea change colors. If things go as planned we will be in Playa del Carmen the day after Thanksgiving. It should be beautiful then. If you are on that side, maybe I’ll get to see you and Mimi

Great dog post. I could not interest Jiggs in our ocean — even where there were no waves. The water was just too hot for him. Thanks for sharing the story. It sounded like a marvelous afternoon.
