Oh Yes! I am in the pool almost every afternoon on and off. In fact, tonight I was cooking and cleaning the kitchen and had to go and dive in at 10pm.

I'll get some house and pet pics up soon. I'm working on a post about what works well and what doesn't with the house design.

Hi Jonna & Mimi,

Love your blog. Been reading it for several months. Please give me more photos of your house & pets. Are you hanging out in the pool?

Jonna, I loved the flamboyant photos. It was a nice slide show. There are so many colorful treats in our city of Merida. Thanks for sharing them.

Cristina, for some reason we do not have jacaranda that I noticed. Perhaps it is too warm? I saw on the news the fabulous display in Mexico City recently and wondered. We had them in Santa Barbara where I grew up and the streets would be carpeted in blue.

Steve, keep Mr Jiggs away from the seed pods, just in case he feels like chewing on something. They are poisonous. Beauty and the beast, together in one.

We have lluvia de oro here in Morelia, too. And the tree known as flamboyán in your part of the world is known as tabachín in this part of Michoacán and in Jalisco.

Both are in luxurious bloom right now, following hard on the heels of the earlier-blooming but equally magnificent jacaranda.

Golden Shower. I often wondered what the yellow-blossom trees were called. Now I know. Thanks.
