Perhaps it is too warm? I saw on the news the fabulous display in Mexico City recently and wondered. We had them in Santa Barbara where I grew up and the streets would be carpeted in blue. Steve, keep Mr Jiggs away from the seed pods, just in case he feels like chewing on something. They are poisonous. Beauty and the beast, together in one. And the tree known as <i>flamboyán</i> in your part of the world is known as <i>tabachín</i> in this part of Michoacán and in Jalisco. Both are in luxurious bloom right now, following hard on the heels of the earlier-blooming but equally magnificent <i>jacaranda</i>. Cristina We have lluvia de oro here in Morelia, too. And the tree known as flamboyán in your part of the world is known as tabachín in this part of Michoacán and in Jalisco.
